This website is provided for informational, educational, and transactional purposes related to Wide Island Studio.

By participating in any class, workshop, or offering, you confirm that you are physically and mentally able to take part and that you are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

You agree to follow all instructions provided during classes or events and to act in a manner that supports a safe and respectful environment for yourself and others.


3. Assumption of Risk

Participation in Ikebana classes, workshops, demonstrations, and related activities involves working with natural materials, water, containers, and tools that may include sharp instruments such as scissors, floral cutters, and kenzan (pin holders).

By participating, you acknowledge and accept that these activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to minor cuts or punctures, slips or falls, allergic reactions, and other minor injuries or discomforts.

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.


4. Health, Allergies & Sensitivities

You are responsible for disclosing any relevant health conditions, allergies, or sensitivities prior to participation.

This includes, but is not limited to, sensitivities to plant materials, pollen, latex, fragrances, or physical limitations that may affect participation.

Failure to disclose relevant conditions is at your own risk.


5. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Wide Island Studio, its owner, instructors, assistants, volunteers, and affiliated venues from any and all claims, liabilities, injuries, damages, losses, or expenses arising from participation in any class, workshop, event, service, or use of this website.

This includes direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, except where such liability cannot be legally excluded.


6. Venue Acknowledgement

Classes and events may take place in third-party venues. Wide Island Studio is not responsible for the condition, safety, accessibility, or maintenance of these locations.


7. Registration & Payment

Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment unless otherwise stated.

All pricing, availability, and scheduling are subject to change prior to confirmed registration.


8. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers

All cancellations, refunds, credits, transfers, and related policies are governed by the Wide Island Studio Refund & Return Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By registering for any class, workshop, or service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to that policy.


9. Photography, Video & Media Consent

By attending any class, workshop, event, or public offering, you acknowledge and consent to being photographed or recorded, and to such media being used by Wide Island Studio for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes. This may include use on websites, social media, newsletters, and printed or digital materials.

Opt-Out Request

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify Wide Island Studio in writing prior to the start of the event. Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate opt-out requests; however, full exclusion from all photography or video cannot be guaranteed in group settings or public events.


10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website and in associated materials, including text, images, course content, designs, branding, and instructional materials, is the property of Wide Island Studio unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any materials without prior written permission.


11. Digital Products & Online Content

All digital products, downloadable materials, prerecorded content, and online educational resources are for personal use only.

They may not be shared, resold, redistributed, or repurposed without written permission.

Due to the nature of digital goods, all sales are final once access has been granted or delivery has occurred.


12. Physical Products & Shipping

All physical products are subject to the policies published on the Wide Island Studio website at the time of purchase.

Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled.

We are not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused by shipping carriers once an order has been dispatched.


13. Blog Content & Educational Information

The Wide Island Studio blog may include educational content, personal perspectives, sponsored content, or affiliate links.
